Military members with young children often have difficulty finding quality, affordable childcare on base. The Family Child Care (FCC) program at MacDill AFB provides a variety of options for residents, including full-time, part-time, hourly shift work, and TDY care. The program is available to children aged 2 weeks to 12 years and offers a convenient loan service for toys and supplies. Providers also participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and receive a monthly reimbursement for meals served. Air Force Aid can reimburse providers for their own children up to 8 years of age, if the family meets eligibility requirements for free or reduced-price meals. Parents may also check out toys and supplies from the Lending Library with little to no wait time.
