TRICARE and Veterans Administration Coordinate Care to Support Veterans
November 9, 2010
FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Jeremy Williams was medically retired in 2007. He now enjoys his TRICARE and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health benefits and says he’s grateful to continue treatment for a chronic condition that began several years ago when he was still in uniform.
“I’m thankful to have access to TRICARE and VA health benefits,” said Williams. “The VA allows me to continue receiving treatment for my ankylosing spondylitis, or chronic arthritis, while I can rely on TRICARE for all my other routine medical care. It gives me peace of mind to know that even though I’m retired, I’ll still be getting the care I need.”
