If you’re a military member looking for ways to travel cheaply, the Space-A program might be right for you. Passengers can fill unused seats on DOD aircraft once all the duty passengers have been accommodated. However, space is limited and passengers should be prepared with sufficient financial resources for cost of lodging and alternative transportation if unable to fly. Passengers can register up to 90 days in advance or the day before departure if space is available. Passengers must provide their last name, first name, middle initial and Social Security number (optional). If you do not have your SIN please include any information about dependents traveling with you. Passengers may depart from either their home of record or their current duty station. If you do not know either of these please give the airport nearest to your last duty assignment and describe what your duties at that location were.
