Question:

would military provide a Form of paper where it would say- Im allowed to sign anything for my husband while he's away. I was told from a tag and titling place plus the dealer ship that the military provides that form..so then i could sign and get....registration and plate for our new car. I have a week left to get this figured out before i go travel to see him. would basic training provide that form if he asked for it.?...when i get to talk to him that is.

If there is a base where you are located, you can have the JAG or legal assistance office there draw up the Power of Attorney for you, then you can take it when you go to visit your husband.  But he will need to take it to the legal assistance office on base and sign it in front of the attorney there so it can be notarized, or he can go to a bank and sign in front of their notary.  If you don't have an account there, they will probably charge you for the notary service, but there is no charge if you do it at the legal assistance office on base.

You may have a hard time getting it done in a week, depending on how busy they are.

Good luck!

Get your husband to sign a sworn affidavit form before he leaves, so that it can be easier on you to manage things that he used to do when he is home. It will make your life much easier and less complicated.

As to the veracity of the affiant's signature by taker of oaths, such as a notary public and witnessed the name is Medieval Latin for he has declared upon oath. An affidavit is a formal sworn statement of fact, signed by the declamant who is called the affiant or deponent. You have to have Affidavit Form. You should've gotten this form sign first before  your husband  went away. Please have your husband or spouse to sign a written affidavit form before they leave to go over sea because you have to run the house why he is away.

You need a POA (powerof attorney), which your husband has to be present to sign.  For a vehicle purchase/sell you need a SPECIFIC POA which explicitly says you have the right to sign for him on that matter.  You need to get in touch with him so that he can go to the legal office and get all this done.

In the future- make sure you have all the legal stuff taken care of before he leaves.  It is SO important to have a general power of attorney!

and what if he already signed this sworn affidavit form? isnt that givin to him before he went for basic training? i could of sworn i seen that form, and i think he took everything with him incase it was needed, OF course everything wasnt explained. So he either has it....if he doesnt. does he resign that form where he could send it. He is in Basic training right now....about to graduate. Won't be back until may. So of course that form would be provided at whatever  base he is at right now? im saying i only have a week to get this form.
